Over 75 children, adults and volunteers enjoyed a 1 1/2 mile hike through the woods and ended with face painting, pizza, juice boxes and water, cookies, music and playtime. For many, this was their first time walking in the woods and enjoying the playground in our own "backyard!" Looking forward to next year!

3rd Annual LiveLikeBecca Cleanup at the Fells
Join us Saturday, June 10 at the Botume House Visitor Center at 4 Woodland Road in Stoneham, MA from 1 - 3 p.m. to participate in something Rebecca truly enjoyed doing. She was a strong advocate for the environment and led several trail cleanups while living in Colorado. We will be working with the Friends of Fells and the DCR in removing invasive species.
Make sure to use sunscreen and bug repellent, but will have some available too. Even though the weather is predicted to be warm and sunny, (yay!), it is best to wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and closed shoes. Hats and work gloves are strongly recommended. Clippers and hand saws are needed if you have them. We will provide water. Please wear your #livelikebecca shirt if you have one and if not, they will be available for purchase at the site. Last year we accomplished so much and are looking forward to repeating our performance!

2017 Scholarship winners
Tuesday, May 30, 2017, three more Malden High School seniors each received a $1000.00 check to continue their education to college! All three are involved in community service, one of Rebecca's passions. Isabella Rose Mayo, an athlete and animal lover, will be pursuing a degree in the medical field. Rebecca Oliveira, mentors young children and will pursue a creative writing and illustration career. Joey Remy has a strong work ethic and has "chosen the path of being an animator". Congratulations to these new awardees who strive to "live like Becca!"
A NEW FUNDRAISER
On June 7, 2017 the LiveLikeBecca Scholarship founders, Rachel Timmons and Lilah Rossi, held a new fundraiser at the Dockside Restaurant in Malden, MA. This establishment generously gives back to the organization a portion of the participating patron's total bill . Over seventy friends and family members came out on a beautiful evening to continue the celebration of Rebecca's life! With only the sales of tee shirts, sunglasses, wristbands, and raffle tickets (an inflatable flamingo shaped pool floater with tee shirt and sunglasses), they raised over $700.00! Way to go!!!!! Thank you to everyone who blessed us with your presence, to the restaurant, the waitstaff and manager, and especially to Lilah and Rachel for their enduring enthusiasm.
UPDATE: The Dockside has a check for $302.00 which puts the total to over $1000.00!
